Your Voice on the Issues
You have asked leaders to show up, actively engage within the community with boots on the ground, and keep an open mind and heart to what our community says it needs most. I will bring your voices to Annapolis and return back home with the changes and benefits we desire. What changes are our neighbors asking for? As I learn more from YOU, this list will grow. Here are just a few:
- Integrity within and diplomatic working relationships between the Judicial, Executive and Legislative Systems entrusted to Elected Leaders through fair elections, accountability, and oversight.
- Providing opportunities to gain valuable knowledge and relevant experience through fully funded public libraries, public schools, access to job readiness training, GED programming, and career and technical education.
- Protecting the right of the community to make informed medical decisions for themselves and their families by providing access to information and resources that encourage deepening understanding of your options.
- Advocating for fair tax contributions that fund and ensure equitable and accessible education, transportation, food and housing security, and healthcare for all in our county.
- Understanding the relationship between Federal and State Constitutional rights of all members of our community, including Due Process and 2A supporters.
- Promotion of Civil Rights and Social Justice, ensuring dignity and worth of every member of our community.
- Support first responder families by increasing health and wellbeing benefits.
- Increasing access and funding for St. Mary's County community mental health supports.
I grew up being taught to fight for American IDEALS (inclusivity, diversity, equity, accessibility, liberty, sustainability). Our ideals are how we ensure security, health, justice and wellbeing for all. When we work towards building our Community, we thrive. Let’s stand united for the common good.
